Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager/Project Engineer to lead our water and wastewater projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering, and water/wastewater treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management: Develop and implement project plans, including scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
  • Engineering and Technical Expertise: Lead the preparation of water and wastewater studies, evaluations, engineering reports, and comprehensive plans.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of engineers, technicians, and other project team members.
  • Client Communication: Present technical information and work products to clients through in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Business Development: Identify prospective projects and partnerships, and develop relationships with existing and new clients.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science (Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering).
  • Professional Certifications: Washington PE license or, for out-of-state candidates, Washington PE license within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience: 5 to 15 years working on water and wastewater utility pumping, pipeline, storage, and treatment projects.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge base of regulatory framework and technologies/products used in water/wastewater engineering design, resourceful in researching and developing project information, and proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degrees: Advanced degrees beyond Bachelor of Science.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with proprietary hydraulic modeling products (Innovyze, Bentley, Visual Hydraulics), wastewater process modeling products (BioWin, SUMO, GPS-X), and design software products (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Revit).
  • Professional Development: Professional society involvement, technical and/or project management training, and PMP certification.
