About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our team at Briggs & Stratton. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding the profitable sale of our products through consultative selling to customers in an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present sales and marketing programs to secure new and existing orders from customers
  • Develop business partnerships with new and existing customers
  • Maintain a high level of service and communication with customers through regular and consistent call cycles
  • Recruit new customers based on market potential and company strategy and objectives
  • Interface with assigned management and support personnel for consistent, open communication, customer support, and implementation of company programs
  • Meet territory goals and objectives based on a business plan
  • Control and reduce selling costs through efficient customer ranking, routing, planning, and expense control
  • Review and analyze sales and marketing data to promote sales, determine customer needs, and provide forecasting information
Requirements
  • Solid knowledge of the equipment industry and green energy standards and solutions
  • Ability to effectively and strategically manage a large territory
  • Ability to analyze sales trends to identify alternatives that will maximize sales opportunities
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people
  • Solid computer skills, including understanding of sales software systems, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work independently and possess solid organizational skills
  • Ability to manage business schedule and territory travel effectively
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Travel up to 70%
  • Ability to safely load, secure, and operate company trailers on a regular basis
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Compensation

$95,000 per year + Sales Incentive Plan + company vehicle

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience

Experience Requirements

Minimum of three years of experience in a sales or customer service environment
