Territory Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our team at Pentair Management Company. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing assigned Pentair businesses by identifying and nurturing new and existing key relationships with channel partners, including pool distributors, builders, dealers, as well as service and retail customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow assigned Pentair businesses by identifying and nurturing new and existing key relationships with channel partners.
- Build relationships with key channel partners and influence sales of Pentair products and services by holding regular technical presentations, training seminars, and/or providing on-site support.
- Promote Pentair's products & brands effectively utilizing marketing programs, leveraging field resources, and distributor and end-user product trainings.
- Develop and utilize a strong technical understanding of our products across the entire professional channel / portfolio to address customer needs and promote brand awareness and preference among our distributor partners.
- Analyze customer specifications to determine proper product applications and/or accessories, provide expertise and recommend solutions to application and performance problems related to pumps in the field.
Requirements:
- Have earned a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Have 3-5 years of experience in a professional outside sales role, including managing a territory and selling mechanical / engineered products.
- Experience working with indirect sales environments, especially with channel partners and/or distribution networks preferred.
- Have electro-mechanical skills and ability to train others, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations on our pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, or automation systems.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, meet difficult deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills.
- High energy, self-starter, and goal oriented. Eager to meet and exceed goals and targets.
Travel:
- If you live in the territory, most of your travel will be day travel (home at night) to visit dealers, distributors, customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings. Up to 20% overnight travel may be required.
Compensation:
The anticipated annualized base pay range for this position will be from $145,000/year. Actual compensation will be determined by considering demonstrable level of experience, skills, knowledge, performance and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
