Territory Sales Manager

Join Briggs & Stratton, a leading manufacturer of portable jobsite equipment, as a Territory Sales Manager. This role is responsible for managing and expanding the profitable sale of a broad range of Allmand products through consultative selling to customers in an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:- Present sales & marketing programs to secure new and existing orders from customers; develop business partnerships with new and existing customers
- Maintain level of service and communication of customers by a regular and consistent call cycle, to include phone contact as well as personal visits
- Recruit new customers based on market potential and company strategy and objectives
- Interface with assigned management and support personnel as necessary for consistent, open communication, customer support, implementation of company programs and achievement of territory and company goals and objectives
- Meet territory goals/objectives based on a business plan; maintain (revise & update) on an ongoing basis as necessary; implement same
- Control and reduce selling costs thru efficient customer ranking, routing, planning and expense control
- Review and analyze sales and marketing data to promote sales, determine customer needs and provide forecasting information; communicate trends and opportunities
- Promote the sell-thru of customer commitments thru advertising, planning and implementation of group ad campaigns and promoting individual customer advertising & sound merchandising practices
- Solid knowledge of the equipment industry and green energy standards and solutions
- Ability to effectively and strategically manage a large territory
- Ability to analyze sales trends to identify alternatives that will maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Solid computer skills including understanding of sales software systems, word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to work independently; solid organizational skills
- Must possess the desire to continuously improve through training
- Ability to manage business schedule and territory travel effectively
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
- Travel up to 70%
- Ability to safely load, secure and operate company trailers on a regular basis. Ability to tow and back-up small towable equipment
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
$95,000 per year + Sales Incentive Plan + company vehicle
Education:Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements:- Minimum of three years of experience in a sales or customer service environment
