As a Site Engineering Specialist, you will engage in one of several key sectors: Commercial Structures (including healthcare, educational institutions, critical mission facilities, and retail), Advanced Technologies (focusing on semiconductor production and renewable energy), or Industrial Applications (such as pulp and paper manufacturing).

Key Responsibilities:


Your role will involve planning, scheduling, and executing specific project scopes assigned to you at Harder.

You will collaborate with field personnel to ensure that tasks are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with Harder Mechanical's high-quality standards.

This entry-level position serves as a foundational step towards a career in project management at Harder.

Site Engineering Specialists at Harder undertake the following daily activities:

• Adhere to and advocate for Harder's safety protocols

• Analyze construction documents and compile project scope and quantities

• Address engineering challenges through effective communication with design engineers, client representatives, and team members

• Oversee field construction to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications

• Engage in planning work sequences

• Prepare and monitor work packages, including labor and cost assessments

• Track construction progress and provide weekly updates

• Organize project documentation within an efficient control system

• Estimate future project requirements

• Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned

Qualifications for Success:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam, with intermediate Excel skills

• Strong communication abilities with a diverse range of stakeholders including suppliers, field teams, designers, and clients

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative

• Highly organized and productive

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong commitment to teamwork and client satisfaction

• Interest in LEAN construction methodologies

• Willingness to travel to various regions for exposure to different markets and industries

• Valid driver's license

• Mechanical aptitude

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Previous internship experience, ideally focused on construction or engineering
