We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineering Specialist to contribute to significant projects within our organization. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the design and construction phases of a Central Utility Plant (CUP).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction work, documenting any discrepancies or code violations.
- Monitor project schedules and activities to identify potential delays and coordinate project phases effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive records related to Construction Management (CM) services for governmental inspection.
- Review contractor submissions and maintain accurate job files, including as-built drawings and specifications.
- Prepare detailed reports on work completed, ongoing tasks, and projected timelines.
- Utilize advanced management systems for project engineering, scheduling, and documentation control.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient understanding of HVAC systems, including testing, balancing, and operations.
- Familiarity with centralized plants, including chillers and boilers.
- Ability to provide accurate cost estimates and assess compliance with industry standards.
- Knowledge of building codes and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in various software applications.
Qualifications
- An ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of six years of experience in both design and construction.
- Proven track record of successful project completions in a similar scope.
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
