About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician with Manpower Engineering, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role falls under the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs for equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Ongoing Preventive Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make necessary repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Assist with Equipment Installation and Modification: Support the installation and modification of building equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Review and Track Work Orders: Review assigned work orders and use available systems to track completion, ensuring efficient operation of all building systems.
  • Support Energy Management: Assist in ensuring the efficient operation of all building systems, reducing energy consumption and costs.
  • Inspect Installations and Ensure Compliance: Inspect installations to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
  • Solve Straightforward Problems: Follow existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, using available resources and expertise.
  • Communicate Effectively: Exchange information in a clear, concise manner, ensuring effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the Team: Contribute to the team by completing defined duties, methods, and tasks, supporting the overall goals and objectives of the organization.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a diploma.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to exchange straightforward information, ensuring effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
