About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Norfolk Regional Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care services to adult patients, including supervision, therapeutic interactions, and facilitation of psycho-educational group activities.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Document patient behaviors and efforts, as well as areas of concern.
  • May be required to transport patients using a state car.
Requirements
  • Be at least 19 years of age to work with adult client populations.
  • One or more years of education or experience in human services or stable experience in customer service or military service, where the candidate is working with others, directly or indirectly.
  • Experience with behavioral interventional programs, crisis intervention, and de-escalation.
  • Working with a diverse population.
