Key Responsibilities- Behavioral Support: Reinforce and/or provide positive behavior support to individuals or small groups of students in a special education learning environment as directed by the administration.
- Observation and Reporting: Observe and control behavior of students inside and outside of classroom according to approved procedures; report progress regarding behavior to teacher.
- Support Services: Provide support to the school by setting up work areas, displays and exhibits, and operating various educational equipment as needed.
- Clerical Duties: Perform a variety of clerical duties as necessary, including preparation of behavioral materials, recording points, taking attendance, and maintaining records and files.
- Health and Safety: Recognizing that the well-being of our students is paramount, ensure their health and safety by following all health and safety rules and regulations.
- Substitute Support: Perform related duties and responsibilities as required, including acting as a substitute for absent teachers or teacher assistants.
- Education and Experience: Two years of increasingly responsible child development experience. Prefer experience working within a day school setting.
- Certifications and Training: Current certification in Therapeutic Options, and the ability to carry out the procedure correctly. Current certification in Adult and Child First Aid, CPR, and AED. Successful completion of background screenings and annual employee trainings.
