Job Description

Job Summary:

Intercept Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Support Specialist to join our Youth Quest team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to our youth residents, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Positive Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment for them to thrive.
  • Transportation and Supervision: Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents, accompanying them on outings and activities in the community, and supervising them to ensure their well-being and safety.
  • Life Skills Development: Guide residents in personal hygiene techniques, meal preparation, housekeeping, and laundry procedures, helping them develop essential life skills for independence.
  • Behavioral Support: Exercise fair, firm, and consistent use of behavioral systems to promote positive behavior and address any challenging situations that may arise.
  • Medication Administration: Supervise the administration of medications as necessary, ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and complete records of resident behavior, critical incidents, and other relevant information, communicating effectively with the Life Skills Coach and Program Supervisor as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services (Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, etc.) or a High School diploma with at least one year of experience working with children and/or families.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with youth and families, with a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of this population.
