Position Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to become an integral part of our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning and execution of production operations, ensuring they align with our organizational objectives, quality benchmarks, and financial targets. Your role will also involve prioritizing production timelines based on delivery obligations, shipment strategies, equipment performance, and material availability. Furthermore, you will oversee the recruitment, management, and professional growth of team members to boost production effectiveness, while developing schedules and staffing plans for specific operational areas. This position entails providing general oversight to nonexempt staff, ensuring all supervisory functions comply with company policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure departmental achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while maintaining budgetary constraints and high-quality standards.
  • Assist in assessing plant capacity, equipment needs, and spatial requirements to fulfill current and future production demands.
  • Establish work schedules and manage overtime, resource allocation, and machine operations while resolving issues as they arise.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing production line efficiency.
  • Collaborate with department supervisors and managers to assess the progress of assigned projects.
  • Compile and present production reports.
  • Maintain availability for work, including evenings and weekends, as necessary to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Provide leadership to team members, including interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and addressing disciplinary actions; and resolving employee concerns.
  • Coordinate with other shifts to ensure effective production transitions.
  • Analyze production processes and recommend or implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Facilitate cross-training based on business requirements.
  • Track daily metrics of production objectives versus actual performance; analyze discrepancies and document underlying causes.
  • Lead 6S initiatives within designated departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (A.S.) from a two-year college (preferably in Electronics); Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Adhere to all import/export regulations, consulting with facility personnel as necessary.
  • Basic understanding of ISO and/or AS9100 standards.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Proficient in relevant software (design, analysis, ERP/MRP, etc.).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with 5S implementations.
  • Leadership in Gemba and Kaizen events.

Salary Range:

$74,800.00 - $99,880.00

The anticipated salary range for this position is an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to location, education, work experience, key skills, and job type.
