Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the daily operations of the Pharmacy department within a retail environment, ensuring optimal service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guarantee the precision and suitability of all prescriptions by conducting thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Drive business growth and prescription volume through recommended clinical initiatives, including immunization programs and Medication Therapy Management.
- Supervise the daily functions of the Pharmacy department, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints to foster trust and loyalty.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary information regarding prescriptions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to pharmacy associates, offering career development opportunities and regular performance feedback.
- Ensure the security and organization of the Pharmacy department.
- Manage inventory levels effectively to meet customer demands.
- Oversee compliance with policies regarding controlled substances and record-keeping.
- Prioritize and complete departmental tasks in a timely manner, including inventory management and customer notifications.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy, along with Immunization Certification from an accredited organization, and a minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Pharmacist. Experience in a retail setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Pharmacist License in the state of practice.
- Valid Immunization Certification.
- Valid Immunization License in the state of practice, if required by state regulations.
