Avtron Power Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Supervisor to lead and supervise our PIC department. This position is responsible for overseeing the shipping, receiving, and material handling teams.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Delivery Management: Ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
- Transportation Management: Manage processes to determine the best mode of transport and select the best carrier to meet on-time delivery requirements.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt and verification of inventory within 24 hours and ensure proper storage of received inventory.
- Warehousing and Distribution: Participate in the development and implementation of warehousing procedures, including receiving, shipping, warehousing, material movements, and inventory control.
- Team Leadership: Responsible for annual performance evaluations, discipline, and development of team members.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and control inventory, including counts, reconciling with inventory systems, and bar-coding systems.
- Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the preparation of all necessary paperwork and the coordination of all necessary activities required to package and ship materials and products.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Ensure spare orders are pulled and shipped 100% on-time and initiate positive methods of driving team performance and metrics.
- Communication and Reporting: Track, monitor, and communicate the progress of shipments.
- Leadership Experience: At least 2+ years of prior experience in a supervisory role in logistics or a related field.
- Lean Manufacturing Experience: Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and supervise others.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, and knowledge of shipping, receiving, and distribution processes and procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
