Job Title: HR Manager

Quarterdeck is a dynamic and growing marina management and hospitality company with a presence in the greater Charleston area. We are seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented HR Manager to oversee and enhance our organization's employee performance and direct our human resources and benefit management operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Post job openings and coordinate with managers for interviews and employment offers
  • Perform New Hire onboarding and maintain Employee Handbook and Manuals
  • Coordinate with Management Team to facilitate and maintain records for required Employee Training and Certifications
  • Manage Workers' Compensation claims and primary knowledge source for HR related software
  • Develop required knowledge base of multi-state labor and employment laws and regulations
  • Manage employee allocated equipment and uniforms

Benefits Management:

  • Coordinate Annual open enrollment for Employee Benefits
  • Ensure New Hires benefit eligibility and complete required enrollment processes
  • Ensure benefits properly discontinued for terminated Employees

Payroll Processing:

  • Perform Bi-weekly Payroll Processing using 3rd Party Payroll processing software
  • Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions
  • Act as primary contact with Department Supervisors to resolve any potential pay and timecard discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration with HR Concentration, Finance, Accounting or similar
  • HR Certifications and/or Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources position with management experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Suite Advanced Experience
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations
  • Able to prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Familiarity with multi-state HR, labor, and payroll tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in HR and Payroll Processing Software
