Financial Controller - Various Locations in the US

OVERVIEW:
Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking experienced Financial Controllers to join our team across multiple locations in the United States.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The selected individuals will serve as strategic partners to management teams, focusing on ensuring compliance, enhancing profitability, and optimizing cash flow. This pivotal role offers the chance to significantly influence our operations and gain visibility within the Engines division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily functions of General and Cost Accounting teams, ensuring adherence to company policies;
  • Ensure that plant controlling teams are well-informed and trained on accounting procedures, policies, and tools;
  • Deliver timely analyses, data, and insights to senior management;
  • Assist in the formulation, analysis, and execution of all plans, forecasts, and projections, maintaining a system for monitoring these plans;
  • Conduct special assignments within the accounting domain with minimal supervision;
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and data as required by corporate personnel and coordinate with internal and external audit teams;
  • Maintain robust internal accounting controls, including cash management, payroll, and accounts payable inventory;
  • Participate in planning, training, and auditing of physical inventories, analyzing final results;
  • Manage the Capital Asset System, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data;
  • Ensure all activities comply with established safety and environmental standards;
  • Uphold full compliance with company policies and procedures, conducting all activities in line with the Howmet Guide to Business Conduct, including ASATS and SOX compliance;
  • Promote consistency and standardization of controlling processes within the Industrial group;
  • Address and mediate discrepancies as they arise;
  • Contribute to the development of action plans, ensuring their financial assessment and follow-up;
  • Exhibit knowledge of and commitment to Howmet Business Systems manufacturing principles and techniques;

Additional Duties:
Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting is required;
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience is essential;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, CMA, and/or MBA are required;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory;
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which necessitates U.S. person status. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
