Overview


The ideal candidate for this position will take charge of delivering business planning, forecasting, and analytical assistance for designated Armada National Accounts operations.

This role requires a focus on transactions and meticulous attention to detail, necessitating a process-driven mindset. Proficiency in advanced financial systems and adaptability to a dynamic work environment are crucial. Beyond a robust accounting foundation, the analyst should be a proactive problem solver with strong interpersonal skills.

Furthermore, the candidate must engage and collaborate effectively with colleagues both within and outside the finance department to guarantee adherence to necessary accounting controls and reporting standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and various financial reporting packages for Armada's National Accounts.
  • Conduct analysis of results, perform variance assessments, identify trends, and propose enhancements.
  • Assist in the formulation of financial forecasts for account management and the executive team.
  • Support the creation of the annual financial plan for National Accounts and act as the liaison for Armada's operational support and accounting teams.
  • Collaborate closely with other corporate and business unit resources to foster standardization and implement best practices.
  • Complete ad hoc analyses and support projects related to National Accounts.
  • Assist in developing and analyzing client metrics, measures, and KPIs to enhance financial visibility and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels of the organization.

Education:
Minimum - BS/BA Degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred - Candidates with an MBA and/or CPA (active or inactive)

Work Experience:
2-4 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or regional) or private industry
Experience in supply chain, distribution, inventory, and/or logistics is preferred.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience in general ledger accounting and reporting.
  • Transaction-oriented with a comprehensive understanding of financial process flows.
  • ERP general ledger experience preferred (JD Edwards 9.0).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Other:
This position is based at Armada Supply Chain Solutions corporate headquarters. Occasional business travel to operational sites and/or client offices may be required.
