Kopp Glass, a manufacturer specializing in high-performance custom glass products, is looking for a Lead Financial Analyst to play a crucial role within the finance and accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Lead Financial Analyst, you will be tasked with:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting both monthly and annual closing activities.
  • Preparing precise financial statements in alignment with established timelines.
  • Assisting with various external audits and ensuring compliance with internal control processes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or an MBA, showcasing a proven ability to deliver valuable insights and support within a manufacturing context.


Summary of Essential Duties:


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing monthly financial transactions, reporting, and analysis to ensure proper classification and compliance with GAAP.
  • Documenting policies and procedures for all accounting functions while enhancing internal controls through effective process design and recordkeeping.
  • Facilitating external audit requests for pension and year-end audits, collaborating closely with auditors.
  • Overseeing intercompany transactions and preparing consolidated financial reports.
  • Supporting executive management in developing operating forecasts, budgets, and special reports by analyzing and consolidating financial data.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate, or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting, with familiarity in ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
