Overview: Are you an experienced Program Manager looking to make a significant impact on the scaling of technical expertise within AWS? We are establishing global communities of specialists to enhance our capacity to onboard, develop, and scale our technical resources worldwide.

Role Significance: The Technical Field Communities (TFCs) are vital in disseminating technical knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive skills complexity model in collaboration with specialist leaders to evaluate learning milestones and integrate them into existing technical training programs.
  • Plan and execute the annual learning event known as the "TFC Summit Week," accommodating over 2,000 in-person and 20,000 virtual participants.
  • Simplify and implement the model for our program's participation in major marketing events and regional learning initiatives worldwide.
  • Create and deliver educational initiatives that foster knowledge sharing and collaboration among the global technical community.
  • Establish mechanisms to assess and track the readiness of field employees, providing strategic insights into ongoing programs and projects.
  • Ensure continuous updates to programs based on stakeholder feedback and performance data.
  • Lead discussions regarding project statuses, challenges, solutions, metrics, and strategic direction with leadership and stakeholders.

About the Team: The Technical Field Communities (TFC) Program is dedicated to helping customers maximize their use of AWS through knowledge-sharing initiatives and expert connections.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Proven track record in owning program strategy and delivering results to senior leadership.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the technology sector.
  • Experience in driving learning and development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing technology concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business, program management, or related fields.
  • Industry certifications in instructional design or curriculum development.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and corporate training practices.
