A Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) will collaborate with engineers, fellow TPMs, Product Managers, and senior leadership to develop top-tier solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Execution - Ensure precise and timely execution focused on customer impact and business potential.

Priority Management - Navigate diverse requests and dependencies from global teams.

Process Enhancements - Define, implement, and continuously refine delivery and operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with and influence stakeholders, balancing business requirements against technical limitations and providing clarity in uncertain situations.

Operational Excellence - Monitor metrics and program health, proactively address blockers, and manage escalations.

A Day in the Life

You will facilitate a design review with a partner engineering team, posing insightful questions to ensure the design aligns with customer needs.

At the end of the meeting, you will confirm that all participants understand the follow-up action items, ownership, and expected timelines.

You will draft a concise document to seek guidance from senior leadership on a project challenge that may impede the team.

You will prepare a bi-weekly program summary to keep senior leadership and other relevant teams informed of progress towards objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in technical product or program management

7+ years of direct experience working with engineering teams

3+ years of software development experience

5+ years of technical program management experience collaborating with software engineering teams

Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, establishing processes, and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management

Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, developing sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules

Experience defining KPIs/SLAs to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is determined by several factors including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company.

Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
