Your Impact

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will utilize your leadership capabilities and knowledge to collaborate with engineering and product management teams to steer projects from conception through design, development, and implementation.

You will work closely with product management and engineering teams to convert initial ideas into actionable plans, ensuring that requirements are well-defined.

Once plans are established, you will ensure they remain on course by employing mechanisms that manage scope, risks, and maintain a healthy execution rhythm, ensuring initiatives aimed at developing new products and features are completed on schedule, within budget, and create a positive impact for our customers.

Additionally, you will have a significant multiplier effect for our Axon Platform (APX) pillar team. In the APX team, we tackle some of the most challenging cloud issues today.

We create the foundational systems across all Axon pillars, enabling new high-quality products to be deployed swiftly at a scale that aligns with our digital footprint of over 100 petabytes of evidence and other data.


The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical program manager with a demonstrated history of executing and coordinating intricate software deliverables across various teams and roles.

Positioned at the intersection of product, design, and engineering, you should enjoy building relationships across diverse personalities while driving product execution.

You will leverage your technical acumen and meticulous mindset to assist the team in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving blockers while managing cross-team dependencies.

What You'll Do

Lead product management, engineering, and design teams to create exceptional, data-driven project plans and timelines.

Guide the team on agile methodologies, SDLC, and other industry best practices to ensure the successful completion of all major software deliverables.


Identify and manage dependencies to prioritize and parallelize work, while communicating this information to the broader organization.

Champion risk management and ensure clear communication of issues.


Build trust with senior leaders by aligning your priorities with theirs, providing timely, accurate, and concise status updates, and assisting other teams as necessary.

Lead by example with thoroughness, attention to detail, and a commitment to our customers.


Collaborate directly with multiple teams of engineers to understand, manage, and propose both technical trade-offs and execution priorities, while being accountable for managing tight execution timelines.

You will assist teams in capturing and enhancing detailed process and software architectural documentation as needed.


Communicate regularly and effectively with our teams across various locations.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.


8+ years of professional experience in leading and managing system/software delivery in enterprise SaaS, cloud IaaS, and PaaS offerings such as AWS or Azure, with at least 5 years specifically in a technical program management role.


A high degree of competency and proven success in project management, including: Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology, risk identification and management, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communicating overall project status.

Experience collaborating closely with remote and offshore team members.

You are a quick learner who can navigate ambiguity and effectively collaborate with others to reduce uncertainty.

Strong interpersonal skills, including mentoring, coaching, collaboration, influence, and team building.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

THE PAY

The Pay:
Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards.

The starting base pay for this role is between USD 127,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 245,000 in the highest geographic market.
