Primary Objective of this Role

Enhance the manufacturing workflows in melting, hot-working, finishing, laboratory machining, and inspections. Tasked with implementing enhancements to processes and standards that improve safety, equipment efficiency, and product excellence.

Key Responsibilities (additional duties may be assigned)

  • Enhance and optimize equipment utilization.
  • Refine material application processes.
  • Identify, implement, and oversee automation opportunities.
  • Establish best practices for resource utilization in plant machinery.
  • Provide technical guidance on maintenance operations and hot-working furnace upkeep and construction.
  • Assist in identifying, justifying, and executing capital requirements.
  • Develop enhancements to manufacturing processes and standards that bolster workplace safety, equipment efficiency, and product quality.
  • Manage, plan, and execute continuous improvement initiatives for products and processes. Utilize statistical data analysis and thermal/deformation modeling tools as necessary to support these initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in team-based, cross-functional continuous improvement efforts, including risk assessments, problem-solving reports, cause/effect diagrams, process audits, and standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate outcomes to management, colleagues, and stakeholders through written reports and presentations.

Basic Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a metals-related sector.
