Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team in the production of premium laminates and films utilized in various applications, including cabinetry for kitchens and bathrooms, countertops, recreational vehicle paneling, and retail space enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve process and product issues, leading initiatives to enhance quality, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
  • Oversee continuous improvement projects within the production area, providing guidance and leadership.
  • Facilitate project rollouts by reviewing installations, coordinating system startups, training personnel, and updating procedures through the standard operating procedure (SOP) framework.
  • Continuously assess new technologies for opportunities to optimize processes.
  • Monitor and report on improvements using key performance indicators (KPIs).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Gravure Print Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on rotogravure processes preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of film, paper, and commercial printing techniques, including flexographic, offset, gravure, and screen printing.
  • Proficient in standard office software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to formulate recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated technical and critical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Capability to work independently while maintaining a comprehensive perspective.
  • Experience with SAP systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Work Environment

  • Occasional stationary work.
  • Frequent movement throughout the facility to perform job duties.
  • Regular use of computers and site-specific machinery.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs.
  • Constant engagement with safety and industrial equipment.
  • Ongoing communication and information exchange with colleagues.
  • Regular observation and inspection of work documents and activities.
  • Ability to detect and identify various odors.
  • Frequent handling of equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to chemical processing and varying temperature conditions.
  • Occasional production of detailed documents.
  • Some travel may be required.
