Production Operations Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee our Raw Materials division within the Specialty Materials sector. This role involves managing the performance of production personnel, focusing on safety, quality, and adherence to company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and evaluate the performance of hourly employees in the Raw Materials area.
- Continuously seek improvements in blend costs for Raw Materials.
- Attain proficiency in essential applications such as Keystone, Formulation, and Raw Materials release.
- Guide and train the team to ensure safe operation of equipment, producing products that meet customer specifications efficiently.
- Manage all facets of shift operations, including Safety, Quality, Company Policies, Production, Operational Costs, Lean Manufacturing Procedures, and On-Time Performance.
- Foster the development and promotion of team members, preparing them for career advancement.
- Report significant issues to upper management following company policies and ethical standards.
- Oversee the certification and re-certification of employees for critical and non-critical operations.
- Utilize schedules, charts, and other data to organize workflow, ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Address disciplinary matters in accordance with departmental and company policies.
- Maintain responsibility for equipment, tools, and workspace organization, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills while adhering to Quality and Company policies.
- Actively participate in initiatives aimed at reducing production costs and enhancing process efficiency.
- Engage all employees in efforts to improve Safety, Quality, Production, and On-Time delivery to customers.
- Maintain necessary production records.
- Be prepared to work scheduled or unscheduled overtime as required.
Required Skills:
- Operations management

- Lean manufacturing
- Reliability engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Metallurgy.
- Experience supervising teams across multiple shifts.
- Familiarity with materials engineering and production supervision in metal or similar materials.
- Proven experience in process improvement.
