Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at SURTECO NORTH AMERICA INC. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, increasing plant efficiencies, and implementing standardization of processes across our Laminates and Films sites.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot Process/Product Problems: Identify and resolve issues affecting product quality and process efficiency.
- Lead Continuous Improvement Efforts: Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall quality.
- Support Project Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review installation, coordinate start-up, train operators, and document changes.
- Monitor New Technology: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in manufacturing technology to identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Track and Report Improvements: Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Gravure Print Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably utilizing rotogravure processes.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of film, paper, and commercial printing & decoration techniques, as well as basic office applications.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical, critical problem-solving skillset.
- Teamwork: Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and see the big picture.
- SAP Background: Experience with SAP systems.
- Lean Six Sigma: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification.
- Physical Demands: Occasional stationary position, constant movement, frequent operation of computer or machinery, occasional ascending/descending steps, constant use of safety equipment.
- Environmental Conditions: Constant exposure to chemical processing and unregulated temperature conditions.
