Position Summary

We are in search of a motivated individual to join our team focused on the production of premium laminates and films utilized in various applications, including cabinetry for kitchens and bathrooms, countertops, and paneling for recreational vehicles, as well as enhancing retail interior spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve process and product issues, leading initiatives to enhance quality, minimize waste, and reduce costs associated with quality.
  • Define and spearhead continuous improvement projects within the production environment.
  • Facilitate project execution by overseeing installations, coordinating system start-ups, training personnel, and updating procedures in accordance with standard operating protocols.
  • Continuously assess new technologies for potential process optimization.
  • Accountable for monitoring and reporting improvements through key performance indicators (KPIs).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Gravure Print Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally with a focus on rotogravure processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of film, paper, and commercial printing and decoration techniques, including flexo, offset, gravure, and screen printing.
  • Proficient in standard office software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities and the ability to formulate recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Robust technical and critical problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Capacity to work independently while maintaining a broad perspective.
  • Experience with SAP systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Work Environment

  • May require remaining stationary for short periods.
  • Frequent movement around the facility to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Regular use of computers and other machinery specific to the site.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs.
  • Consistent engagement with safety and industrial equipment.
  • Regular communication and information exchange with colleagues.
  • Constant observation and inspection of work documents and activities.
  • Ability to detect and identify various odors.
  • Regular handling of equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to chemical processing and varying temperature conditions.
  • Occasional preparation of detailed documents.
  • Some travel may be required.
