The Bungalows at Chesterfield Village is in search of a Chief Operations Officer to oversee community operations.

RELATIONSHIP

The Chief Operations Officer will report directly to the Director of Operations and/or COO.

PURPOSE

This role is crucial for the effective execution of operations at the community level. Key responsibilities encompass financial oversight, employee leadership, and ensuring satisfaction among residents and their families. The Chief Operations Officer will manage the community in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines, while being well-versed in all relevant state and federal regulations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

COMPLIANCE/SAFETY

Uphold and enforce OSHA regulations and safety protocols.

Consistently practice safety measures, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to fire safety protocols.

Review incident reports and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.

Maintain compliance with all operational laws and regulations.

Secure and display the community's operational license as required.

Ensure adherence to fire drills and disaster preparedness plans.

Investigate and monitor work-related injuries.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Analyze monthly financial reports and clarify budget variances to management.

Communicate financial results with department heads and provide guidance on budget adherence.

Prepare and submit the annual budget for management review.

Educate department heads on budgetary compliance.

Maximize revenue generation opportunities.

Oversee payroll administration and accounts payable processing.

Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.

Initiate actions to maintain operations within budgetary constraints.

ORGANIZATION / PRIORITIZATION

Exhibit strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.

Communicate priorities clearly.

SALES/MARKETING

Demonstrate expertise in lead generation and sales closure.

Develop, implement, and assess strategies for occupancy and revenue growth.

Represent the community in various public forums, including presentations to large audiences and interactions with community professionals.

Position the community positively within the local area by engaging with outside groups.

Support community engagement efforts with a focus on the medical, legal, financial, and business sectors that influence the senior market.

Ensure the implementation of an effective external business development strategy, with clear accountability and measurable results.

Hold community leaders accountable for achieving quality engagement and referral outcomes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE-CERTIFICATION

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Gerontology, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 2 to 5 years of prior experience in a General Manager or Administrator role is preferred, with a background in Senior Living, Hospitality, or Skilled Nursing, including at least 5 years in a management capacity.

LICENSE:

A valid driver's license is required.

A valid license to operate an assisted living facility, if mandated by state regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

In an 8-hour workday, the associate may stand/walk for:

Total hours/day: 4 - 6

In an 8-hour workday, the associate may sit for:

Hours at one time: 2 - 4

Total hours/day: 4 - 6

In an 8-hour workday, the associate may drive for:

30-60 minutes, 1 - 2 times a week.

The associate will support/assist with a maximum weight of:

Frequency: 50 lbs

Occasionally: 150 lbs

The associate will lift/carry a maximum weight of:

Frequency: 40 lbs

Occasionally: 70 lbs

Height of lift: 3 - 4 feet

Distance of carry: 30 yards

The associate will use hands for repetitive tasks including:

Simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

The associate should be able to:

Bend: Occasionally

Squat: Occasionally

Kneel: Occasionally

Climb: Frequently

Reach: Occasionally, up to 3 feet.
