Job Overview:

The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role in financial oversight, reporting, and strategic planning for a designated division. This position involves guiding and advising division leaders on various financial matters to ensure that performance objectives are met. The Finance Partner will be a key contributor to the budgeting, forecasting, and overall management of the division's financial health, acting as a strategic ally in business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance to devise strategies for enhancing performance in underperforming locations.
  • Educate division operations personnel on financial analysis processes and P&L management; prepare variance reports.
  • Oversee operational and capital expenditure budgets for the division.
  • Address and resolve issues related to accounts receivable and payable, including validating business cases and forecasting savings.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through thorough analysis of reports and supporting information.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting and analysis.
  • Investigate discrepancies in financial systems.
  • Identify markets with below-average performance and low gross margins.
  • Work proactively with leadership to enhance financial outcomes in line with operational commitments.
  • Partner with division leadership to boost both operational and financial performance.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the business and under management guidance.
  • Conduct gross profit analyses.
  • Perform budget-to-actual comparisons.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in finance or accounting; at least 3 years in financial planning and budgeting for substantial business units.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions (e.g., formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive experience in Excel modeling is essential.
  • Prior experience with financial systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in sales and revenue forecasting is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
