In the role of Finance Operations Senior Leader, you will oversee a team of finance professionals and manage essential financial functions such as invoicing, revenue recognition, and payroll processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and mentor a proficient team of finance professionals across various operational areas, including but not limited to accounts receivable, revenue recognition, accounts payable, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with data, engineering, and product teams to automate reporting processes, enhancing the efficiency of accounting operations.
  • Oversee the finalization and review of financial records and reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles.
  • Develop, document, and refine business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Work alongside Finance leadership to ensure timely financial reviews, budget monitoring, and preparation of budget-to-actual comparisons. Assist with external audits and tax compliance, including the preparation of necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Finance to ensure adherence to professional standards and compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Support senior team members with special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA certification.
  • 8+ years of experience in Accounting, including tenure at high-growth companies. Experience in Public Accounting is advantageous.
  • 3+ years of relevant people management experience.
  • Experience in Finance Operations (AP, Billing, AR, Payroll, etc.).
  • Prior experience with NetSuite is preferred.
  • Creative problem-solver with the capability to propose innovative solutions for complex challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience with large and intricate data sets.
  • Experience in constructing Excel models and reports utilizing complex formulas.
