Job Overview

Position Summary:

At Lifescape Colorado, the Lead Landscape Construction Operations Manager is responsible for directing and overseeing the project management team to ensure the effective execution of our landscape construction initiatives. This pivotal leadership position requires managing a dedicated team while aligning client expectations to guarantee that projects are delivered punctually, within financial parameters, and uphold the highest quality benchmarks.

Compensation: $130,000-$175,000 per annum

Leadership & Team Management
  • Guide, mentor, and develop the project management team.
  • Evaluate and manage key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Anticipate construction workload and labor requirements to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ensure adherence to the construction process by the project management team, from project assignment to final client handover.
  • Guarantee that projects are planned for efficiency and safety while meeting Lifescape's quality expectations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and the Design/Sales team to manage daily construction schedules.
  • Oversee project timelines and budgets, including Change Orders and material procurement.
  • Evaluate and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring they meet Lifescape's professional standards.
  • Support the team by managing projects as necessary.
  • Ensure the team fulfills daily and weekly administrative responsibilities, including time approvals, planning, invoicing, and project closeouts.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings and training sessions to promote professional growth within the team.
  • Engage with senior leadership to drive company objectives.
Client Relations
  • Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients and team members.
  • Engage with clients, builders, and other professionals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead client meetings as necessary to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
Communication & Coordination
  • Collaborate with the Construction Manager and Superintendent to uphold Lifescape's construction standards and safety protocols.
  • Work closely with the property care team to ensure seamless transitions for clients and properties.
  • Foster effective collaboration between project management and construction teams.
  • Assist in reviewing project estimates with the sales team prior to project initiation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Warranty Oversight
  • Supervise the warranty coordinator and assist in resolving warranty-related client issues.
  • Monitor warranty costs and ensure compliance with warranty policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in landscape construction and installation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in landscape construction methods, including basic landscape structures.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Exceptional client management and communication skills.
  • Strong financial management skills with experience in budget oversight.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Excel, MS Office, Aspire, and Bluebeam is advantageous.
