Position Summary: The Construction Project Manager oversees the on-site execution of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This role is crucial in safeguarding and advancing the interests of Shaw Construction.

Key Responsibilities:

In alignment with contract stipulations and Shaw's operational best practices, the Project Manager will:

  • Thoroughly review and comprehend contract documents (including plans, specifications, and agreements) to effectively carry out the work.
  • Organize and direct the distribution of tasks among the on-site Shaw team.
  • Evaluate subcontractor scopes of work and collaborate with the Project Manager.
  • Formulate and execute site planning, logistics, and strategies for work implementation.
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate the project schedule using P6 CPM tools.
  • Establish and uphold a comprehensive safety and security program as outlined in company policies and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and assess the work of subcontractors.
  • Implement the Shaw Quality Control program, which includes:
    • Conducting pre-phase meetings.
    • Performing initial inspections.
    • Carrying out scheduled inspections.
    • Coordinating third-party testing and inspections.
    • Maintaining a master deficiency log.
    • Documenting the program within company software.
  • Keep an updated on-site record of documents, including drawings, specifications, and as-built records.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to establish a process for submittal reviews and requests for information (RFI).
  • Develop and implement plans for job site management, including housekeeping, temporary utilities, material handling, and vertical transportation.
  • Collaborate with the Shaw Self-Perform group to devise a strategy for labor, equipment, budget management, and compliance tracking.
  • Document project activities, including daily reports, safety inspections, and training records, and manage project closeout processes.
  • Additional Duties: Engage in company training, assist with pre-construction activities, participate in presentations, and mentor junior staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee all Superintendents and Foremen assigned to the project.

Qualifications:

A four-year degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in building construction at the Superintendent level for projects ranging from $20M to $100M is required.

Compensation:

  • Salary Type: Annual
  • Salary Range: $95,000 to $150,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
