As an Associate Manager on our Category Leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving category growth initiatives by providing tailored category programs and strategies to our field sales team for a selection of our brands. You will report directly to the Vice President of Category Leadership.

Your Contributions:

  • Conduct comprehensive category analysis and assess business impacts for the sales team, pinpointing opportunities to enhance both customer and company objectives.
  • Adapt existing corporate category strategies to boost sales performance at the customer level.
  • Deliver actionable category insights to foster collaborative solutions.
  • Support the team in surpassing established shelving and merchandising targets.
  • Provide category and shopper insights for your assigned categories.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and retailer contacts to create and implement category growth strategies.
  • Recommend planograms to uphold shelving standards across designated categories.
  • Work alongside the sales team to establish modular objectives and strategies, developing proposals for distribution and shelving modifications.
  • Ensure that category goals are achieved.
Your Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) in sales or analytical roles, with a preference for category leadership experience.
  • Experience in data integration and interpretation.
  • Ability to summarize a comprehensive sales narrative from various data sources, including syndicated, loyalty, consumer, and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of syndicated panel data.
  • Experience in direct customer engagement to drive category sales growth.
  • Proficiency with Nielsen/IRI, Retail Link; familiarity with space management tools is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong Excel skills for developing and maintaining complex spreadsheets and automating processes.
