POSITION SUMMARY
#Hybrid in Rogers, AR
The successful candidate will deliver exceptional analytical support to the category advisory team by establishing a robust collaboration with leading food manufacturers and major retailers. This role focuses on providing merchandising strategies and transforming insights into actionable plans that foster business growth. The analyst will perform data-driven evaluations using diverse data sources to assess product performance, assortment strategies, consumer trends, promotional effectiveness, and store segmentation, while ensuring effective communication and influencing practical recommendations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver analytical insights for Space and Category Management initiatives utilizing retailer data, industry-standard reports, and proprietary analysis tools.
- Utilize space-related insights to create and sustain optimal planograms; execute approved strategies, adhere to clients' shelving guidelines, and meet customer-specific objectives.
- Collaborate with Business Managers and other Business Intelligence (BI) professionals to develop sales presentations that address client or customer challenges; ensure high-quality outcomes of final deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for category space enhancement, garner support for proposed modifications, and oversee implementation.
- Generate customized reports that measure performance against strategic goals; regularly update and refresh dashboards for assigned clients.
- Engage with data and tool vendors to maintain quality control of data sources, ensuring the precision of all reports and deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, with a minimum of one (1) year in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
- 3 – 5 years of experience with Blue Yonder, JDA, or other space management software, along with a background in consumer analytics or technology-focused roles.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with knowledge of Power BI preferred.
- Capable of independently conducting data mining activities using retailer or syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen), CPG mathematical concepts, and standard analytical tools.
- Self-motivated: able to identify and utilize relevant data to assess situations, propose potential solutions, and drive outcomes.
- Effectively communicate relevant information and present findings to business partners, clients, and customers.
