ROLE OVERVIEW
The Manager of Category & Shopper Insights for Walmart plays a pivotal role in delivering unbiased insights related to consumers, shoppers, and categories that drive the growth of the Pest Control segment. This position collaborates closely with various departments, including sales and marketing, to ensure that insights are effectively integrated into strategic initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate and present insights that illuminate actionable opportunities within the shopper, category, and marketplace, enhancing the Pest Control category's performance.
- Collaborate with the sales team to formulate recommendations based on insights aimed at expanding the Pest Control category.
- Assist in crafting sales presentations that incorporate new product innovations from a category and shopper perspective.
- Maintain expertise in category management and shopper insights tools and methodologies.
- Communicate effectively and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and anticipate business needs.
- Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of related experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
- Over 5 years of experience in Category Management or Shopper Insights.
- Proficient in using Category and Shopper Insights tools, including Scan Data and Panel Data.
- Experience in designing and conducting shopper surveys, primary and secondary research, and space planning.
- Ability to create compelling data visualizations that connect insights to strategic business recommendations.
- Background in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or retail environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to foster relationships within a high-performance team.
- Proactive approach to achieving results in a dynamic work environment, demonstrating energy and ownership.
- This position allows for remote work once a week for eligible employees.
- Full-time, onsite role.
