About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Insights Analyst to join our team at Acosta. As a Category Insights Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by analyzing data and providing actionable insights to inform category management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from customer and syndicated data, and make informed recommendations for product selection and placement.
  • Category Performance Management: Draw key insights and business recommendations on distribution, assortment, pricing, and promotion by analyzing customer and syndicated data.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports on category performance, market trends, and KPIs, and present findings to key stakeholders, including retailers and internal senior management.
  • Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and technologies, and upskill in data analytics, category management, and market research.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Category Analyst with experience in CPG/Retailer
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working with standard data resources and solutions (e.g., Syndicated POS, Panel, Retail Link, Madrid)
  • Ability to understand and utilize category data in conjunction with Space Management software and reporting tools
  • Comfortable working independently and handling sensitive information
  • Thorough understanding of merchandising principles
  • Tendency to be a proactive self-starter with a drive to take ownership of projects and see through to completion with Problem-solving capabilities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
