POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is pivotal in representing LG Seeds through the sale and distribution of seed products to dealers and select accounts within a designated territory. The focus is on maximizing sales and enhancing market penetration of the brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Formulate and execute a business strategy to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  2. Identify and recruit new Selling Dealers and Select Accounts.
  3. Engage with Select Accounts regarding product positioning, performance, and service-related matters.
  4. Promote brand image and marketing initiatives through the Dealer sales network.
  5. Leverage digital tools and resources to drive sales growth.
  6. Maintain fiscal accountability by adhering to the assigned budget.
  7. Assist Dealers in reconciling account balances with the company.
  8. Provide training, motivation, and development for Dealers to enhance their sales capabilities.
  9. Support Dealers in crafting and executing their sales strategies.
  10. Collaborate with Dealer Supervisors and Area Business Managers within the territory, as necessary.
  11. Conduct planning, planting, and harvesting of test plots for yield assessments.
  12. Install promotional signage at plots and fields to enhance brand visibility.
  13. Serve as a communication conduit for the brand between Selling Dealers, Select Accounts, and the Regional Business Director.
  14. Inform the Area Business Manager of significant market developments impacting sales and personnel.
  15. Implement brand policies related to collections, delivery, inventory, returns, and other essential functions as directed.
  16. Timely submission of reports and completion of assigned tasks.
  17. Address product issues within the territory and manage routine challenges.
  18. Conduct annual evaluations of Selling Dealers and Select Accounts with the Area Business Manager to aid in expanding and upgrading the account base.
  19. Oversee accounts receivable and follow up on overdue accounts.
  20. Participate in Regional Sales Meetings and other company events.
  21. Project a positive image of LG Seeds and AgReliant Genetics while adhering to the company's core values.
  22. Ensure the upkeep of company vehicles and equipment.
  23. Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field is preferred.

A minimum of three (3) years of professional sales or account management experience, or at least one year of sales experience in the agricultural sector.

Certification as a Crop Advisor (CCA) is preferred.

Familiarity with the seed industry is advantageous.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Strong time management abilities and a robust work ethic.

Capacity to work collaboratively within a team.

Detail-oriented approach.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to fulfill required hours and travel as necessary.

Capability to lift up to 60 lbs.

A valid driver's license is required, meeting AgReliant's MVR standards.

Some overnight travel may be necessary.
