Role Overview
Scope and Objectives

The primary responsibility is to execute all sales initiatives and optimize business prospects within your designated area, implementing and executing comprehensive sales action plans.

Reporting directly to the Cluster Director of Sales, MICE, your key responsibilities and essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel offerings, pricing, and promotions at all times.
  • Stay informed about company products and rates, actively engaging in cross-selling opportunities as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of sales action plans, participate in sales meetings, and propose innovative ideas such as special packages and promotional activities across various hotel revenue centers.
  • Oversee Room Sales for managed accounts in the MICE segment, including all group bookings for rooms and banqueting.
  • Collaborate with the DOS-MICE, Events teams, Director of Food and Beverage, and Executive Chef to review F&B menus and pricing structures for Groups and Events.
  • Identify peak and off-peak periods to enhance meeting space utilization in conjunction with the DOS-MICE and Sales Team.
  • Engage in hotel activities such as promotions, sales blitzes, and entertainment as directed.
  • Respond to customer service requests promptly, ensuring all inquiries are addressed within 24 hours.
  • Assist the DOS-MICE in exploring new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals for consideration.
  • Coordinate, communicate, and participate in FAM trip groups/events.
  • Establish and maintain strong, productive business relationships with all companies within your portfolio in the designated geographic/market segment.
  • Consistently communicate the hotel’s image positively to existing and potential customers.

Qualifications
  • Experience in the luxury hotel sector (5-star).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong presentation abilities, particularly in site inspections.
  • Understanding of Group operations, including arrival procedures and meeting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Familiarity with Opera is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in MICE is essential.
  • A collaborative team player with a supportive demeanor.
  • Fluency in English and other languages, both written and spoken, is preferred.
  • Fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken, is a plus.
