About the Role

This position is primarily responsible for developing a strong brand preference for Haldex core products with key Warehouse Distributors, OES Dealers, Small O/E accounts, and Fleets.

This full scope responsibility includes development of sales and marketing programs and assist in marketing programs, product, and sales training, and development of the overall independent aftermarket and maintaining O/E's in assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Increase sales of Haldex products to distribution partners
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, promote products, train distributor sales representatives
  • Develop and implement promotions to grow Haldex sales
  • Gain Haldex fleet specifications at key regional and target fleets
  • Maintain a high level of personal product application knowledge
  • Making technical product presentations to customer groups
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes saleable features
  • Understands & uses value added selling tools
  • Maintaining close relationships with marketing and sales team
  • Conducting product application and installation training
  • Communicate effectively with all customers, peers and with management
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Must work within Haldex budget requirements
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts
  • Works with customer service representatives to keep account activities up to date
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database or provides information to customer service
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
  • Attends trade shows
  • Complete yearly / Territory business plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in the Heavy Duty Vehicle Industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write professional reports and business correspondence
  • Strong presentation skills including responding professionally to questions from groups of managers and customers
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Microsoft Office Applications - specifically PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to travel by air, car, or other means of standard transportation, up to 75% both domestically and internationally
  • Must be able to qualify for Corporate Credit Card
  • Must maintain a valid driver license
  • Must comply with company Safety rules

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Independent homebased work environment. Up to 75% of the job is spent traveling, as outlined above.
