At Brock11, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Territory Sales Manager to join our team in Northern California. Our client is a leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets. With rapid organic and acquisition growth, they have become one of the largest coatings, adhesives, and sealants companies in North America.

We are actively recruiting for a Technical Territory Sales Manager for their waterproof deck coating solutions division. This person will be required to ensure technical excellence, ensuring all customers are properly trained to install the product according to specifications in Northern California. They will also need to create, build, and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers and assist them with growing decking and waterproofing business substantially through their technical expertise.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of knowledge and hands-on experience in the application of construction trades, specifically waterproofing, roofing, and/or envelope. They will have a proven track record of hands-on technical competency from initial contact through the completion of the project.

The Technical Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Working personally with Distributors, Architects, Applicators, and all current and potential customers alike.
  • Developing contacts and prospects that ensure long-term profitability.
  • Increasing territory sales and profitability through existing accounts and new development.
  • Identifying and communicating necessary changes in regulations and industry standards in specific territories.
  • Evaluating customer needs/issues and providing solutions.
  • Teaching, demonstrating, and training existing and new customers.
  • Verifying spec compliance by all applicators.
  • Providing necessary auxiliary onsite technical support as needed by the company and customers.
  • Keeping Distributors engaged and producing leads and support.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge of products, their specifications, and safe handling.
  • Pursuing training and development opportunities, striving to continuously build knowledge and skills.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintaining a consistently high level of performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Participating in special projects as assigned.
  • Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
