Job Summary

The Department of Justice is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Operations Director to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our HR functions, including staffing, recruitment, classification, payroll, benefits, and human resources information system management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures for human resources services, including position management, staffing, and classification.
  • Direct the daily operations of HR staff and provide technical and administrative direction to subordinates.
  • Develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance.
  • Provide advice and guidance on all areas of HR operations, including payroll, benefits, and human resources information system management.
  • Supervise and lead HR functions, including staffing, recruitment, classification, payroll, and benefits.
Requirements
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-14 federal grade level, including experience in developing and implementing new or revised policy and procedure documents, and supervising or leading HR functions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex HR issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
