Job Overview

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Remote Athletic Travel Planner. In this role, you will be tasked with organizing extraordinary sports travel experiences for leisure clients across various global destinations. This position is ideal for those who have a passion for travel and enjoy assisting others in their planning endeavors.

The Athletic Travel Planner will manage the research and booking process for clients, which may involve arranging flights, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and securing event tickets. Candidates with a vibrant personality and a love for travel are strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research to design and implement outstanding travel itineraries for clients.
  • Assess individual client preferences and requirements to tailor trips that align with their desires.
  • Engage in continuous training to obtain and uphold necessary certifications for travel booking.
  • Participate in regular webinars with vendors and suppliers to gain expertise in specific travel destinations.
  • Evaluate budgets and plan trips in accordance with clients' financial limitations.
  • Stay informed about trends and changes within the travel industry.
  • Monitor travel restrictions and updates as they arise.
  • Coordinate all travel arrangements including flights, car rentals, accommodations, cruises, and event tickets.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients before and after their travels.
  • Respond promptly to all travel inquiries.
  • Address any issues that may occur during the booking process or while clients are traveling.
  • Keep accurate and updated information within our travel management software.
  • Network with tour operators to explore package offerings for clients.
  • Participate in familiarization trips when opportunities arise.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication skills are essential (a background in sales is advantageous).
  • Access to a smartphone with internet capabilities; a laptop is recommended but not mandatory.
  • Personal travel experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus, though not necessary.
