About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for students, staff, and visitors at our campus locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of chefs, cooks, and culinary professionals in food preparation, presentation, safety, and sanitation practices.
  • Set and uphold culinary standards, ensuring compliance with recipes, food quality, and presentation standards that exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute innovative menus and concepts that tantalize the taste buds and delight the senses.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of food and supplies, adhering to budgetary guidelines while ensuring seamless operations and product availability.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations, fostering a safe and hygienic culinary environment.
  • Forecast annual food and labor costs, monitoring financial performance to drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, attending meetings, staff development sessions, and industry programs to stay ahead of culinary trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • A.S. or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • Extensive catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
  • ServSafe certified - highly desirable
