Strategic Coordination and Communication

This role serves as a vital link between the President's Office, Provost's Office, and the Advancement division. You will prioritize requests for events and individual meetings, ensuring they receive timely review and approval from key leadership figures. Your expertise in negotiation will be crucial in navigating scheduling adjustments that impact Advancement endeavors, collaborating with both senior staff and frontline personnel to achieve strategic resolutions.

You will champion deadlines, guaranteeing the President and Provost receive comprehensive briefings and meticulously prepared materials that meet the highest standards of quality. Your commitment to follow-up will ensure timely and effective communication across all stakeholders.

Leadership Team Support and Advancement Guidance

You will champion best practices for efficiency and professionalism within the leadership team resources. Your guidance will extend to Advancement constituents, advising them on the appropriate tone, type, and quality of written requests. As a liaison between Advancement and the President's Office, you will proactively identify potential issues and recommend timely and direct solutions.

You will effectively represent the needs of the President's Office to Advancement staff, fostering a culture that values teamwork, collaboration, and innovation. Your leadership by example will inspire others to embrace appropriate risk-taking, cross-organizational cooperation, and clear ethical conduct.

President's Leadership Council Management

You will play a pivotal role in managing the membership, nomination records, event planning, and logistics for at least two large-scale President's Leadership Council (PLC) events annually. This includes collaborating with Events staff to ensure seamless execution.

In partnership with the SVP and Chief of Staff, you will contribute to strategies for recruiting and identifying new PLC members. You will develop invitation concepts in collaboration with the Marketing and Engagement team, manage feedback from senior leadership, and oversee staff responsible for RSVPs. You will empower and hold primary staff accountable for outreach to PLC members.

Donor Relations and Trustee Engagement

You will maintain frequent direct contact with major donors on behalf of the President, Provost, and SVP. You will work closely with the Chair of the PLC on event dates, locations, substance, and membership management. Your responsibilities will also include engaging with the Chair of the Board and other Trustees to schedule and prepare them for speaking engagements and other roles on behalf of Advancement.

You will stay informed about research regarding prospects and their philanthropy to Dartmouth, supporting senior leadership travel strategy.
