Position Summary:
As an Advanced Critical Care Paramedic, you will deliver high-quality medical care and safe transport for critically ill or injured patients across all age groups. You will collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals to develop and prioritize comprehensive care plans that adhere to established protocols and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to create and adjust care plans based on patient assessments and input from family members.
- Transport critically ill or injured patients, utilizing advanced assessment and intervention skills.
- Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of the transport vehicle, adhering to all traffic regulations and conducting thorough inspections of medical supplies and equipment.
- Complete daily operational tasks and mandatory training, staying informed on departmental communications.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration with the Regional Transfer Center and other healthcare entities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Organize and execute work efficiently, ensuring timely completion of all documentation.
- May conduct point-of-care testing in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Exhibit professional conduct and proactive interventions that align with the organization's mission and values.
- Occasionally provide support to the Field Operations Division as needed.
Qualifications:
Credentials:
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- Critical Care Paramedic Certification
- Flight Paramedic Certification
- Advanced Trauma Certification
- Paramedic Certification
Education:
- Technical or Vocational Diploma
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience with a licensed EMS provider at the paramedic level, demonstrating commitment to performance standards that enhance patient satisfaction and service excellence.
