Position Overview
We are in search of a proficient individual to fill the role of Regional Sales Manager within the US Petcare Division of Zoetis.

The primary focus of this position is to provide leadership and foster the development of team members, employing solution-oriented coaching and strategic business planning to enhance sales performance across the designated region.

The Regional Sales Manager will exemplify and promote Zoetis Core Beliefs within the team and the organization.
This role necessitates travel throughout the assigned region, which may include overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Oversee and nurture all team members in the region according to their roles.
Consistently exhibit Solution Coaching skills.

Guide the business initiatives and activities of the Territory Business Managers (TBM) and Strategic Account Managers (SAM) to achieve the objectives established by upper management.

Attract, cultivate, assess, differentiate, and retain top talent through effective recruitment, continuous coaching, and proactive utilization of colleague development and performance management tools.

Dedicate 75% of available time to field coaching to assist TBMs and SAMs in achieving performance targets by enhancing their core competencies and professional growth.

Demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration among all team members.
Sales Achievement


Achieve or surpass sales targets (quotas) both overall and for key growth products through the development and coaching of SAMs and TBMs within the specified region.

Successfully spearhead the introduction of new products, services, and equipment.

Exhibit success in other critical sales metrics, such as growth rates and enhancing the overall health of the regional business by leveraging insights and managing analytical reports.

Business Management


Formulate annual strategic business plans that encompass demographics, economic factors, performance metrics, potential opportunities, actionable items, and tracking/reporting for individual territories and the overall region.

Coordinate and allocate marketing resources in the region, balancing the needs of Strategic Account Managers and Territory Business Managers.

Handle various administrative and reporting responsibilities, including but not limited to operating expenses, performance management, and performance evaluations.
Participate in new product launches and regional sales meetings.
Engage in special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Regional Business Director or headquarters management.
Qualifications

A bachelor's degree (BS/BA) is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in people leadership/management for external candidates.
Technical Skills

Proven success in previous roles, including people leadership and creatively identifying opportunities or resolving challenges to drive sales performance.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, business management, and computer skills.
Demonstrates the qualities of a change agent, continuous learner, and encourages self and others to exceed conventional thinking.

Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment, align with and influence both internal and external stakeholders, and build/manage relationships at all organizational levels.

Skilled at navigating highly dynamic, complex, and ever-evolving environments.
Utilizes analytics and insights to improve decision-making and tactical execution across the region.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to manage assigned budgetary expenses.
Professional demeanor and presentation style focused on customer satisfaction.
Results-driven, capable of identifying goals and priorities, and resolving issues in their early stages.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a close-knit team environment, self-motivated.
Experience in Animal Health and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine is advantageous.
Willingness to accept and integrate feedback.

Physical Requirements
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (70-80%) to manage regional personnel and business needs as required.
