PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Regional Sales Executive plays a crucial role in fostering the expansion and enhancement of TMC Transportation's customer network. This position is tasked with the ongoing identification and acquisition of a diverse range of profitable clients that align with TMC's core values. The individual will leverage their communication, organizational, and creative skills to optimize revenue opportunities while fulfilling customer service and operational objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Engage in proactive sales activities to cultivate customer relationships and develop a robust sales pipeline. This role is focused on new business acquisition, with no daily operational responsibilities.
  • Establish and nurture strong partnerships with external clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with assigned Account Executives to enhance customer relationships.
  • Monitor and report on all Team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and undertake additional tasks that contribute to the improvement of the customer portfolio's success.
  • Facilitate Quarterly Reviews in partnership with the Account Executive.
  • Strategically devise and implement plans to increase market share with new clients.
  • Work closely with the RVPs of Business Development to onboard and manage new strategic clients under their guidance.
  • Communicate essential daily and weekly updates regarding the customer portfolio's challenges, successes, and relevant information to the General Manager.
  • Contribute to branch budgeting and annual planning initiatives.
  • Act as a leader and mentor within the organization.
  • Develop skills to engage with clients at the VP and C-suite levels.
  • Maintain an average presence at the Home Branch 1-2 days per week, dedicating the remaining days to meetings with potential clients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • A four-year degree, ideally in Transportation and Logistics, or equivalent experience in the transportation sector.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience at TMC or in a comparable field.
  • Not currently on a Performance/Discipline Improvement Plan.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
