Role Overview
As a Lead Geological Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing access to clean water and supporting sustainable infrastructure projects. Your expertise will contribute to significant water-related initiatives, backed by a team of over 6,000 professionals renowned for their innovation and technical proficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and executing both surface and subsurface geological investigations, while managing a team of support staff.
  • Logging soil borings, conducting soil sampling, and analyzing geotechnical drilling processes.
  • Performing geological reconnaissance and mapping to identify potential hazards and characterize sites.
  • Guiding the design and installation of groundwater monitoring systems and geotechnical instruments.
  • Interpreting geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Developing geological models for complex site conditions and managing laboratory testing programs.
  • Conducting research and implementing innovative technologies to advance project outcomes.
  • Collaborating with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and facilitate project progress.
  • Assisting in the preparation of high-quality project documentation, including reports and design drawings.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geological Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Professional Geologist (PG) license in California.
  • Ability to conduct rigorous fieldwork in diverse terrains and weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in geology, particularly in geotechnical projects such as dams, reservoirs, and flood protection systems.
