Position Overview
As a pivotal member of the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office, the Lead Financial Aid Consultant plays a crucial role in guiding students and their families through the complexities of financial aid eligibility and application processes. This position is designed to enhance the university's enrollment objectives by ensuring efficient and effective management of financial aid applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage intricate student service tasks that require professional judgment and a tailored approach.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to students and families, addressing inquiries regarding financial aid eligibility.
  • Analyze federal and state financial aid applications to assess financial need and prepare comprehensive financial aid packages.
  • Oversee all aspects of the financial aid process, including compliance with Title IV regulations.
  • Collaborate with various campus departments to ensure adherence to the Federal Work Study Program.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures, providing regular reports to senior management on funding levels.
  • Act as the primary resource for the Student Service Center staff, assisting with escalated student inquiries related to financial aid.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention initiatives, conducting information sessions for students and families.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in student services or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in advising students both individually and in group settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of Title IV regulations and federal/state financial aid programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in all aspects of financial aid processing.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
