Position Overview

MUN CPAs, LLP is a well-established and reputable full-service accounting and auditing firm providing a range of services including audit, tax, consulting, litigation support, and forensic accounting. Our dedication to our clients has driven the firm’s ongoing growth and success in cultivating and sustaining robust professional relationships.

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Audit Consultant to enhance our Sacramento audit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee client engagements and guide assigned personnel through the planning, execution, and finalization phases of the audit process.
  • Manage engagement administration, which includes coordinating the planning and completion of engagements.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Gather and analyze financial data.
  • Identify and investigate accounting issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to the firm's overall development by actively engaging in administrative and operational tasks.

Qualifications
  • 3 – 6 years of relevant public accounting audit experience with nonprofit and governmental entities.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Must possess a CPA designation or be a CPA exam candidate.
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting and auditing principles.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites, which may require occasional overnight stays.
  • Experience in planning audits and preparing financial statements for governmental and nonprofit clients.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with clients, managers, and colleagues.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills.
  • Proactive in learning new areas beyond the immediate scope of work.
  • Proficient in accounting, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software.
  • Experience with 990 forms is a plus.
