Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple clients, contracts, and projects concurrently.
- Conduct geotechnical engineering evaluations, studies, and calculations.
- Draft and compile engineering reports and documentation.
- Execute field explorations, sample collection, geological reconnaissance, and mapping activities.
- Perform construction oversight on job sites and maintain summary logs and related documentation.
- Engage and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels.
- Guide, mentor, and supervise engineers and other staff members.
- Review technical reports and engineering calculations prepared by junior engineers.
- Assist in business development and marketing initiatives, including the preparation of cost proposals and presentations for current and prospective clients.
- Adhere to Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance policies.
- Promote and comply with Shannon & Wilson's Health and Safety and Loss Prevention policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or Geological Engineering), supported by a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Geology.
- 7 to 14 years of professional experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License in the relevant state.
- Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff.

Level Placement
Depending on an applicant's educational background, experience, and qualifications, a Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer may be positioned at a Shannon & Wilson Senior Professional I, II, or III level.
The salary range for this position is $88,100.00 to $160,400.00 per year.
