Position Summary

The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth by fostering and nurturing relationships with clients and customers. Responsibilities include identifying potential clients, following up on sales leads, and maintaining strong connections with current customers. Additionally, the role may involve suggesting marketing strategies tailored to specific demographics and preparing quotes based on customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and initiate contact with prospective clients.
  • Build and sustain relationships with existing customers.
  • Participate in industry trade shows to discover new sales leads and engage with current clients.
  • Focus sales efforts by analyzing the existing and potential customer base.
  • Keep management updated by submitting reports on activities and results, including daily call logs and weekly plans.
  • Monitor industry trends to uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Gather competitive intelligence on pricing, products, and marketing techniques.
  • Propose marketing strategies aimed at specific regions or demographics.
  • Recommend improvements in products and services based on market analysis.
  • Address customer complaints by investigating issues and developing solutions.
  • Enhance professional knowledge by attending workshops and engaging with professional networks.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results.
  • Analyze customer needs and requests.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations about company offerings.
  • Tailor sales presentations based on the type of sales outlet.
  • Provide product recommendations to customers as needed.
  • Prepare quotes for clients.
  • Collaborate with customers to clarify product specifications and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review customer agreements and negotiate terms as necessary.
  • Consult with Operations and Engineering teams to address inquiries.
  • Interpret technical drawings as required.
  • Work alongside Engineering to launch new products.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills, ability to meet sales targets, effective closing techniques, and territory management.
  • Proficient in negotiation and relationship-building.
  • Self-motivated with a solid understanding of product knowledge and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Education and Experience

A minimum of a 2-year degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for a 4-year degree. Experience of 2 to 5 years in sales, particularly with industrial products, is preferred.

Work Environment

  • Office setting with the possibility of remote work as needed.
  • Travel requirements may range from 33% to 50%.
